OCT. 11th..OXJAM Singers' Night...all money goes to the OXFAM appeal...excellent evening...plenty of singers including a mega-band finale led by half the Lonesome and Penniless Cowboys...thanks to all who came along. Our very own, and rather excellent, Jozeph Roberts is the guest on Fri.24th Aug. 2007 at The Full Circle Folk Club......'The Parkside' Bury Old Road, Prestwich, Manchester.....the evening begins at 8.30. August 23rd....Singers' Night...SKIFFLE NIGHT ! MIDDLEWICH FOLK AND BOAT FESTIVAL.....SAT.16th JUNE 2007. Dodging in and out of the rain were....John Ruff Baker, Pete Butler, Jonathan Beech, copland smith, Roydan Styles, Guss Glynn, Ann English, Dominic Collins, Mark Henderson, Virginia Barrett, Stewart Lupton, Big Brian, Lisa Marie Glover, Sean Nicol, Steve Wooley, Kevin Tarpey, Spikoh, Dave Hall, Jozeph Roberts, Winston Baldwin, Bryn Mitchell, Keith Haynes, Michelle.... 24th May 2007....as part of chorlton arts festival ( http://www.chorltonartsfestival.com/performances_day7.html )......the place was packed for Canadian theme night and Joe was seen scooting up and down stairs nicking extra chairs from the bar......only had a couple of Leonard Cohen songs (so long Marianne and Bird on a wire)....does that mean we're happier now than in the 70's....thanks to everyone who performed.... | ||||||
